Toy Town and Sickies

On Wednesday I took the kids to Toy Town and met up with Amber. The place was small but it was really cute. It had a whole little village for kids with little houses and shops. It also had a bouncer and a train table and a bunch of toys. It started out great but then it got crowded and Logan was the worst behaved he has ever been. Then Aila started to cry and would not stop no matter what (which is so not like her) so we left Toy Town and went to Amber's house so I could teach her how to decorate cakes. I put Logan down for a much needed nap but Aila just would not go to sleep (again so not like her). I decided to call the doctor to see if I could get her in but the only appointment was for the next morning. I scheduled it thinking that maybe nothing was really wrong and I was just imagining it or that whatever it was could wait until the next day....

Boy was I wrong! Poor little Aila started throwing up like crazy! She vomitted 4 times in a period of 3 hours. We decided to take her to the Good Night Pediatrics office (what a lifesaver! way better than the ER or Urgent Care). The doctor checked her out and said she had the flu. We had to stay there until Aila could hold down her liquids so they could make sure she was not dehydrating. We gave her 5 mls of pedialite every 5 minutes. She passed the test and we went home. I was up almost all night with her, constantly giving her the pedialite. She wanted to be held and she would wake up and cry when her tummy hurt. It was so sad. The good news is she was pretty much all better by Thursday evening and fully recovered by Friday. Now she is back to her old happy self.
