32 Weeks Prego - 8 months!

Vanessa is now 32 weeks pregnant. Only 4 more weeks until she is considered full term and 8 until her due date! She had a doctors appointment this week and everything looks great with Aila, although she is still measuring small. Why won't doctors just accept that we have little babies? So now we will have an ultrasound in 2 weeks just to check on her growth. Aila still seems to be breech so be praying that she turns around ASAP! At 32 weeks gestation Aila weighs about 3.75 pounds and is about 16.7 inches long, taking up a lot of space in the uterus. She now has toenails, fingernails, and real hair (or at least respectable peach fuzz). Her skin is becoming soft and smooth as she plumps up in preparation for birth. Below is a belly pic of Vanessa and 2 pics of what a typical baby looks like at 32 weeks in utero:

Puppet Show at the Library

On Monday, Vanessa took Logan to a puppet show at the library. The best part was that all of Logan's little cousins, his aunt, and granny came to the show too! The show was really cute. Logan especially loved the music and dancing. Here are some pics:

Coming Home

FRIDAY, JUNE 20TH and SATURDAY, JUNE 21ST
On Friday everyone else flew home, but the Sheppard bunch still had another day before our plane left (a bit of confusion when we booked out flight a while ago) so we all checked out of our resort and headed to the Disney Market Place for some suvenier shopping before everyone had to catch their flights. Then it was off to our hotel (which thanks to another mix up changed at the last minute!). We went swimming and then went to bed super early becuase we had to get up at the crack of dawn to catch our flight.

Today, we woke up at 4:30 Florida time (which is 1:40 AZ time) and headed for the airport. We had an uneventful flight home, although Logan was a little more restless than he was the last time we flew. We are finally home and completely exhausted! I think we need a vacation from our vacation! LOL

On a side note, Doug is still not feeling well. He went to urgent care today and they said he has a really bad ahernia. The doctor said it was the worst he had seen and Doug is going to need to have surgery. Please be praying for him becuase his job requires a lot of heavy lifting, which he is not supposed to do.

Animal Kingdom

THURSDAY, JUNE 19TH
Today we went to Animal Kingdom. We started out with a yummy breakfast buffet at the Tuskerhouse. Lots of characters were there and they had a parade for the kids to wake up the sun. It was really cute. Logan especially loved the Conservation Center at Animal Kingdom.
Here are pics of Logan with the characters at breakfast:

Date Night

TUESDAY, JUNE 17TH and WEDNESDAY, JUNE 18TH
On Tuesday, the Sheppard bunch hung at the resort while everyone else went to MGM and Epcot. It was a scorcher and it turned out really well that we did not go because these two disney parks don't have much shade or cooling. Plus, Doug was really not feeling well and so we had to find a doctor in the area to check him out. The doctor believed that Doug was still fighting off that flu he and Logan had a week or so ago and perscribed him something to settle his stomach. He rested the whole day and was feeling better.

On Wednesday, Doug and Brad played golf for their Father's Day presents and Vanessa's parents went to a timeshare presentation so Vanessa and her sister took their kiddos to the pool. On Wednesday night Vanessa's parents watched all the kids and Vanessa, Doug, Stacy and Brad all went on a date to a fancy French Restaurant. Here are the pics of their date:

Chef Mickey

MONDAY, JUNE 16TH

Today we spent a nice relaxing day by the pool. We needed time to recoupporate from our full day at Magic Kingdom. The pool at our resort was amazing. It had a beach entry, a lazy river, water slides and splash pad. Logan had a blast. For dinner we went to Chef Mickey's where Logan got to meet lots of characters and partake in the Chef Mickey Napkin Dance! Check out the pics and videos:

Magic Kingdom

SUNDAY, JUNE 15TH

Today was Father's day! Logan made Doug a card and we got him a round of golf at our resort reserved for Wednesday. We celebrated today at the Magic Kingdom. Logan loved every second of the Magic Kingdom. He acted as if it was the best day of his life. He was so excited to go on all the rides and to see everything! He didn't even take a nap! And We're Off!

SATURDAY, JUNE 14TH

Today we got on our plane to go to Disney World. Traveling with a toddler is an adventure in and of itself. Just imagine going through security with your carry ons plus a stoller, a car seat, and a car seat base. And the take your shoes off rule applies to babies as well! Like Logan would be packing explosives in his shoes! LOL Our first flight was about 4 hours long and landed in Atlanta, Georgia. It was a long flight but Logan did great. We ended up being really lucky because we were in a row of 3 seats and the 3rd seat ended up being available (even though they told us the flight was full) so Logan got to sit in his own seat. When we landed in Georgia it was crazy. There were tons of people and a lot of people were quite rude- definitely not a picture of Southern hospitality. We were supposed to have a 3 hour layover and that turned into a 5 hour layover- NOT FUN! All the planes were delayed because of bad weather : ( Our flight from Georgia finally got off the ground and it was a short, sweet ride to Flordia! We were so excited when we landed and met up with Vanessa's mom and brother-in-law. We had finally reached our desitnation!

Packing for Disney

We are super busy getting ready for our trip to Disney World; cleaning the house and emptying out the fridge, not to mention packing! We are so excited to be going! We get to be in beautiful Florida for a whole week! We will be staying at Vanessa's parents' timeshare with her parents and her sister and brother-in-law and their kids! Logan is going to have so much fun with his cousins. Plus, we are going to go to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom. We'll be sure to post all the pics when we get back. Here are some pics of Logan having fun packing:

(Don't worry he will be sitting with us on the plane, even if he does fit in the suitcase! LOL)

30 Weeks Prego

Vanessa is now 30 weeks pregnant, which means Aila's arrival is getting closer and closer! The fine lanugo hair that has been growing all over her body is going to start falling off this week in preparation for the big day. She is also getting even cuter with increasingly pudgy arms and legs this week thanks to the ever-growing layers of subcutaneous fat. In terms of numbers, she should be weighing in at around 3 pounds 12 ounces (or more!) and be nearly 16 inches long. Here is pic of Nessa's ever growing belly:
