Meet the Teacher Night

Thursday was Open House for Logan and Aila's preschool. Aila's teacher couldn't be there on Thursday because her son was getting married that day so she had it on Tuesday. It worked out well because I was able to listen to Aila's teacher's full presentations without having to skip out early to go see Logan's teacher.

Both kids got excellent teachers and I can't wait to see how they will do this year. Logan's teacher asked the kids to find their names on their cubbies and Logan found his first and told his teacher, "Here is my name! L-O-G-A-N, that is how you spell Logan." Maybe he won't be so shy this year like he was last year.

Aila was so excited to be at school because Logan went there last year and she couldn't wait to be a "big girl" and go to school like her older brother. I don't think I will have to worry about first day jitters with her because when we got there she said, "You can go now mommy. I want to play with the toys and my new friends."

Sugar Creek Play Scapes

There is a mega church out here that has a giant indoor playground that is open to the public during the week. Doug had a church planting meeting there so I tagged along with the kids and we played while he went to the meeting. The kids were so wore out that they all zonked out in the car on the way home.

Zona is Home

Zona came home on Tuesday (which was Aila's actual birthday). The pound warned us that she had a bit of a runny nose and that we have 2 weeks to return her if she does not get better. It could be something serious like distemper or something mild like kennel cough. I found a free vet to take her to and they said it is less than a 20% chance that she has distemper and the odds are even better since it is the summer. They gave us an antibiotic and said the next 2 weeks will be the telling factor. If it is distemper she will get worse and worse.

We have been giving her the antibiotic and she seems to be getting better and better. She is getting more energy each day. The other good signs are that she has never lost her appetite and her nose running hasn't gotten any worse.

Hopefully by next week she will be 100% because she is the sweetest, cutest puppy ever. She is so good with the kids. She is doing great with house training too. She loves to cuddle and snuggle as you can see in the pictures. And she has been home a week and I have yet to hear her bark!
