Day 6 (Sunday)- We went to church with Doug's parents and then out to lunch with the pastors to a Mexican restaurant (Yay more food that I can't eat! LOL) Then we went home and took the kids to a park. Logan was absolutely fascinated with the puddles and even sat in some mud! When we got home the kids both needed baths. Aila had a bath in the kitchen sink. Logan had some fun being pushed around in a baby stroller too!
Day 7 (Monday)- We went to the Alexandria zoo today and had a great time. Even Aila noticed some of the animals and Logan was very into the snakes and the fish this time. When we got home the kids played dress up.
Day 8 (Tuesday)- We packed up today and drove the 3 hour journey to New Orleans. We figured it would be easier on the kids if we drove 3 hours in one day and then the 3 hour flight next. For lunch we stopped at McDonalds and Logan went to the top of the play thing all by himself (he usually gets scared and cries)! That night we met a church planter for dinner (seafood again..but atleast they had steak on the menu)
DAY 9- We got up early and loaded up. We drove to a place called Cafe Du Monde and had bengiets. They were so yummy and they even had a window where Logan could see how they made them. Then we were off to the airport for our long flight home. Logan was cranky the whole first hour but then slept for the last 2. Aila never made a peep. No surprise there! LOL We are glad to be home and I am almost done unpacking! Although I can't help but think that pretty soon this might not be home and I can't help but cry.
