Friday at the Zoo

On Friday I took the kids to the zoo. The weather was absolutely perfect and since it was a Friday the zoo was almost empty! The animals were all out and about and I discovered completely new parts that we had never been to that Logan absolutely loved. We stayed until closing time and were some of the last people to leave. We even got to see the zoolights because they turned them on as we left. Logan was so wore out from the zoo that he went to bed at 6:00!
Highlights of the day were:
1) In the monkey village one of the monkeys almost walked on Logan's hand (I pulled him away before it did but Logan was disappointed because he wanted to pet the monkey). I have never seen them get that close before.
2) One of the baboons came right up to the glass and looked right at Logan which caused him to crack up!
3) Feeding the ducks crackers (Logan decided that he was hungry too and started eating the cracker until a goose came up and snatched it out of his hand- then he was not too happy!)
4) Playing in the new playgrounds we found.
