Houston Zoo and Frank's Pizza

We are now Houston Zoo Members! On Saturday Doug told Logan he could pick something fun to do and Logan said he wanted to go to the zoo.  The zoo is only about 35 minutes away and it is right in the middle of the big city.  It reminds me a lot of the Central Park Zoo in NY.  And let me just say this zoo is amazing! We have been to the Phoenix Zoo a million times and it is always like playing "Where's Waldo" to find the animals.  I guess the Phoenix Zoo is really good as far as making the animals feel like they are in their natural habitats but it is no fun when you can hardly see the animals.  At this zoo all of the animals are up close and they have a ton of them! Doug and I liked the Sea Lions the best, Aila loved the porcupine and kept calling it a pretty doggy, and Logan said his favorite was the monkeys.  We really had a great day and are already planning to go back this weekend : )

Our favorite animal was the sea lion:

Logan loved when they would spit out water.

The eagle was really neat:

They are both biting their nails.  Hah. Nice habbit they learned from daddy:

They both loved climbing at the rope playground:

I drank a bottle of water every 30 minutes : )

Logan loved pretending to drive this big boat:

They Doug crawled with the kids in the prairie dog tunnels:

The giraffes were super close:

Nice and sweaty:

Logan liked the big Coy Fish:

Aila got tired of riding in the stroller...here come the terrible twos : )

After the zoo we went to eat NY Pizza at a place call Frank's and it was AMAZING! Better than the NY pizza we could get in AZ (ofcourse nothing is ever as good as the real thing, but I think this is as close as it gets and I loved it!) I ate half a pie all on my own!

Logan tried to take a picture of mommy and daddy:
