September Update

August was so much fun! We have about a million birthdays in our family during August so we got to see our family a lot and eat a lot of cake! One of those birthdays was Aila's! Believe it or not she is a year old. She is still not walking which is driving me nuts. She was walking great at her one year check up and has not taken a single step since! Go figure! As soon as she is doing it and we can catch it on video you will all know about it!!!

Right now Logan runs around so much that we are almost gald he is the only one mobile. He started soccer and is totally awesome at it (he definitely did not get his sports skills from me!) He is starting to speak in really long sentences which never ceases to amaze us. He is painfully shy though which is something we are trying to work on.

Doug started his EMT classes last week and he is taking his first practice CPAT this evening! The Louisiana job is still a possibilty but we needed to move in some sort of direction and this will always be a good back up if Louisiana does come through.

And now for the biggest news this month... The bank accepted the offer and our house is sold! We will close on the 19th of this month! We are trying to figure out what we are going to do. Doug is afraid to sign a one year lease because that Louisiana job might start in January or he could get a fireman job in another state. Both don't seem very likely at this point so we will probably sign a one year lease regardless. We are trying to contact the people who are buying our house to see if maybe we can rent it from them on a month to month basis, considering that we are already here it would save them money because they would not have to clean up the place for new renters and it would also save them the trouble of having to find renters. We'll see what they say. We looked at some houses this weekend as a backup and found one we totally love. The only problem is coming up with all of the deposits! We are not sure which route we will take yet but there is not much time to decide so we will probably know by this weekend. We will keep you all posted when we figure things out!
