Kemah Boardwalk Fall Kid's Festival

We decided to take the kids to the Kemah Boardwalk this weekend.  They advertised that they were having a free kid's fall festival with a free petting zoo and free pony rides from 11-6.  We got there and all it was were a bunch of information booths, a clown and some kids dancing on the stage.  No petting zoo.  No pony rides.  I hope this isn't a sign of what free events are like in TX! The kids still had fun though.  We got to take a free shuttle boat to the boardwalk and Logan was in heaven! Then we got to feed all the fish, which Aila loved.  We sat and watched the boats go by for a while and then Doug took the kids on the train ride.  The boardwalk has its own little amusement park.  The kids finished the day by playing at the playground and then it was time to head home.
