Welcome to April! Spring is here, well actually in AZ it feels more like summer. The kids have already been in the pool! We didn't go to too many public events this last month because we had so many fun things to do with our friends and family. The kids have been loving getting to play with their friends so often and this weather makes them want to play outside all day long!
Logan has been doing so great in his Sunday School class. I need to take a picture of all the crafts he has made and put them on the blog. Last week he got to perform at Palm Sunday service by marching around and waving the palm branches following a kid on a rocking horse that was pushed around on a wagon to look like Jesus on the donkey. It was so cute! I wish I had my camera but it was in the diaper bag with Aila in the church nursery.
Aila is now obsessed with the potty, but not the little potty chair, she likes going on the big potty! The only thing is she is saying "Potty" and running to the bathroom every 5-10 minutes! It is making me a little crazy but I am encouraging her excitement about it because the more motivated she is the sooner we will be done! She is also going through a stage of separation anxiety. She cries every Sunday when we take her to the nursery and most of the time she doesn't make it through the whole service so I have to go back and get her.
Work has been booming for Doug which is such an amazing answer to prayer. God has been providing like crazy. People have been comming up to Doug in parking lots and restaurants and asking him to work for them! One guy fixes up foreclosed homes and he needed a pool guy to work on all his pools!
We are so happy that God is providing but at the same time Doug is so ready to be in full time ministry! We had 2 really big interviews this month. One was to start a new church in a small town called Red Rock. Red Rock is close to Tuscon, AZ. It has about 400 homes and pretty much nothing else (not even a gas station). We would be the first church there! The other interview was a phone interview with a non profit organization to start churches in apartment complexes they own. The job would be in Houston, TX. We are waiting for them to call with a date for us to fly down and have a formal interview. We are so excited that God is opening up some doors for Doug. Please join us in prayer as we ask for the Lord's direction and guidance in making decisions. I will be sure to keep you posted as these things pan out.
And our BIG NEWS this month is that we are expecting baby number 3!!! We are so happy and excited that God has chosen to bless us with another little one. We can't wait to meet him/her. I am only about 5 weeks along and my due date is Dec. 4th. So far I am not sick, and not too tired or anything, but I am INSANELY hungry (a pregnancy symptom I have never experienced so maybe I will be HUGE with this baby- but hopefully not! haha) Logan already has lots of funny ideas about the baby. He thinks the baby is walking around inside of me and he thinks that if he puts his finger inside my belly button he can touch the baby. Aila on the otherhand is quite clueless. She will point to my belly and say "Baby!" really loud but she will also point to Doug's and she even did it to another man we saw at the park the other day. HAHA
I hope you are all doing well! We love you guys and are so grateful to have such great friends and family!
