Louisiana Day 5

Day 5: Wednesday-
This morning Doug had more meetings with some more people from the Southern Baptist Association and they all seemed to go well. While he was at the meeting Vanessa began to pack and when Granny got back we took Logan and Aila out for a walk. When Doug and Papa got home from their meetings we all got in the car and decided to go out. Granny and Papa showed us the town and some of the nice houses in the area. Afterward we went to a lake to feed some fish and some turtles, but it turns out that they only come out at a certain time of day so there was nothing to feed. It was ok though because Logan just liked throwing the bread in the water and didn't care that no one was eating it. Doug caught a little lizzard by the lake and it jumped from Doug's hand right onto Logan's shirt. It was really cute! Then we got back in the car and stopped at Walmart to pick up a few things and then we went to visit Granny and Papa's friend Patty's house. Patty had a little bike out for Logan to play with (which he loved) and he got to play with her dog and feed her fish in her little pond. After visiting with Patty we took a trip to the Baptist encampment (a beautiful church camp with lots of big trees and a huge lake). Logan ran all around and we collected some leaves and pine cones. The sites were so breathtaking. Living in the dessert, we have forgotten the beautiful colors of fall leaves on the trees! We started to get hungry so we went to dinner at a restaurant called Robby G's. We met Patty and Dave there and ate and hung out. Logan loved all the spicy foods and so did everyone else (except for Vanessa the world's pickiest eater! lol) Then it was time to come home and finish packing and go to bed. Another great day! We are so not ready to say goodbye tomorrow, but we are also looking forward to gettin home to Arizona and seeing everyone we have missed there!
