Louisiana Day 1

Day 1: Saturday-
Well after a night of Halloween fun we had to get up early the next morning to head to the airport. Vanessa hates flying and is always way stressed out when it comes to traveling. She could not wait until the end of the day when we would all be in Paula and Wayne's apartment. The morning started off well. We met Vanessa's mom and she drove us to the airport (thanks mom!). We got there on time and had no problems checking in or getting our seats on the plane. The flight was 3 hours long and surprisingly both kids did well! We thought Logan would have a hard time sitting still but he really did great! We even had an empty seat in our row so he was able to sit between us and play. After we landed things were not as smooth. We got our bags ok but they lost our car seat. Vanessa was so upset. They gave us one to use for the week, but it was very complicated (and a PAIN IN THE BUTT all week!) It was great to be off the plane though, and to see Granny and Papa ofcourse! We landed in New Orleans which meant we still had a three hour drive to Alexandria. We loaded up the car (after 30 minutes of trying to figure out car seats!) and we went through a drive through for a bite to eat. We began the drive and both kids fell asleep! It was so peaceful, until about the last hour of the trip. Both kids were screaming their heads off and we could not wait to get out of the car. We finally got to Granny and Papa's and we went to bed. We were definitely tired after a long day of traveling.

Logan found this car right away at Granny and Papa's. It was like he knew where it was!:
