38 Weeks Pregnant

Vanessa is now 38 weeks pregnant! We spent the morning organzing our house and van and getting all the last minute details together. We have our hospital bag packed and we have a bag for Logan for when he stays at Vanessa's mom's house. At the doctor's this week Aila's heart was beating at 150 bps and was nice and strong. If Vanessa does not deliver until 40 weeks they estimate Aila's weight to be 6 lbs 12 oz at birth (which is exactly what Logan weighed! How funny!) At 38 weeks the average baby has developed a firm grasp, which we'll soon be able to test when we hold Aila's hand for the first time! Also by this time a baby's organs have matured and are ready for life outside the womb. We have 13 more days until Vanessa is due, but really Aila could be here any day now!
