Playdate with Elias

On Friday, Vanessa arranged a playdate for Logan and his friend Elias. Logan and Elias have known eachother almost their whole lives! (Which is not very long for a 12month old and a 16 month old! LOL) They had lots of fun playing with all of Elias' toys. They were even pretty good about sharing with one another and Elias gave Logan lots of hugs! It really seemed like they had a good time.

Homebodies

This week Vanessa and Logan took it easy at home. Vanessa was having dizzy spells throughout the week so she really needed the rest. Logan did not mind because he has so many new toys from his birthday that he still has not managed to play with them all. Logan is now officially a toddler and has even thrown a tantrum or two... not so fun! But we know he is just trying to learn how to manipulate his world and so we are using these as teaching moments. Some people think it is too early to start disciplining, but our philosophy is the earlier the better! LOL Here are some pics of Logan from the week:

Doctor Visit

Vanessa went to her OB appointment yesterday morning and everything is looking great for Princess! Vanessa got to hear her heartbeat which was strong and steady : ) By this week, Princess weighs two and a quarter pounds (like a Chinese cabbage) and measures 14.8 inches from the top of her head to her heels. She can blink her eyes, which now sport lashes. With her eyesight developing, she may be able to see the light that filters in through the womb. She's also developing billions of neurons in her brain and adding more body fat in preparation for life in the outside world. Princess is measuring a little bit on the small side (she is measuring at 25 weeks when she is 28 weeks) but this is no surprise because Logan always measured smaller! Vanessa is officially in her third trimester and has 8 more weeks until she is considered "full term"! The pregnancy is going by really quickly and Vanessa and Doug can't wait for their little princess to arrive! Here are some pics of what Princess looks like:

Lazy Days

This weekend was really fun for all of us! We had Logan's birthday party on Saturday and then we decided to take the rest of the weekend easy. We went to church on Sunday and then went out with our friends Max and Sarah for lunch at the QC Cafe. The cafe is under new ownership so it took FOREVER to get our food but we got a free desert out of it! Here is a picture of Logan hanging out with the big boys:

On Sunday night Max and Sarah came over to eat dinner and watch a movie called The Great Debators. It was a very inspirational movie and we all liked it.

Today we spent the day organizing the house and fixing up the yard. Pretty soon Doug will have the hot tub all fixed and we can't wait to have people over for a nice soak!

Tonight Doug went to the park to play basketball with the guys while the ladies and kiddos hung out at the house. Here is a picture of Logan playing with the kids:

Then Logan got to open up a present from his cousins Diane and Marissa. They got him some really cute clothes! Thank you!!!

Tomorrow the week oficially starts and Doug has to go to work : ( It was nice having a long weekend and he is definitely not looking forward to going to work! Hopefuly the weekend will be here soon!

Water Day

So it has been a while since we last posted but we have been very busy planning for Logan's birthday party (which is today). This week Logan got to go grocery shopping to lots of stores, went to play at Nana's (Vanessa's mom) house and got caught in his first rain storm! The highlight of his week was when Vanessa made a water day for him outside. She took out his old baby bath and big bowls and filled them all with water and put out his water toys. He loved splashing around and the water felt good on a hot day. He got to listen to water stories while he played. It was a lot of fun. Here are the pics from the Water Day:
