First Month of Homeschooling

We are finishing up our first full month of homeschooling this week. It has gone pretty well and it is getting easier and easier to plan my lessons. Next month I am hoping I can add in some fun unit studies but for our first month we focused on the basics. I know there are some moms out there wondering what do we do when we homeschool so here are a few of the things we studied this month. Everything I use is FREE, which means you can use it too!!! So Pretty!

Trip to New Orleans

Doug had to go to Baton Rouge and New Orleans for work. Originally he was going with his boss, but his boss was unable to make the trip so we got to join him. Doug got to make tons of contacts for his ministry and we got to see Mimi and Papa because they were in New Orleans for the Southern Baptist Convention. Here we are on the first day at an outreach event: We went swimming in Mimi and Papa's hotel pool: Dinner, chilling at the apartment, and visiting the French Quarter (eating bengeits and riding the trolley!): Holding an alligator at the conventon:

Super Dad

I seriously have the best husband in the world and my kids have the best daddy ever! Happy Father's Day babe!

Dinner with Friends

Some friends from church came over for dinner and our kiddos all got to play : )

2 Months Old

Ariah can now smile and laugh. She can roll over and she loves to coo and blow spit bubbles. She is already wearing 3-6 month clothes and everyone always comments on how big she is, how beautiful she is, and how much hair she has.

Ariah is Growing!

Ariah had her 6 week check up on Friday and she was 9 lbs 15 oz and 21.5 inches. She is starting to make cute little cooing noises and smiling. I caught her smile on camera tonight for the first time! She is also FINALLY only waking up 1 time a night consistantly so I think I can officially say she is sleeping through the night. I hope I didn't just jinx myself ; )

First Day of Homeschooling

Today we embarked on our new journey of full time homeschooling. It was Logan's first day of Kindergarden and he did wonderfully. Aila loved her preschool lessons as well. I couldn't have asked for a better first day. And we finished in 4 hours so we had plenty of time to play this afternoon.
