O'Neals

Our good friends and neighbors, the O'Neals, came over for a visit. Pretty soon they will be holding their own little baby, but for now they get to practice on Aila : )

We have been so blessed by all the people comming to bring us food. Thank you to all of you! We even always have enough left over to eat for lunch the next day! It is so awesome and we feel so loved! Logan especially loved the brownies!!! Check out the pics:

Aila's First Doctor's Appointment

Today was Aila's first doctor's appointment. The doctor said she looks great and she has already gained back 2 oz (she was 6 lbs 7 oz when we left the hospital and today she was already 6 lbs 9 oz) so Vanessa is doing a great job with nursing her! Yay! Here are the pics:

Dinner and Hairbows

Last night Doug's parents brought us yummy dinner. Thanks Granny and Papa! It was great for them to be able to see Logan and Aila again. Vanessa put a bow in Aila's hair for the occassion and then Logan decided he wanted one too. Silly boy! Check out the pics:

Big Brother

So far Logan is doing great adjusting to the role of big brother. No apparant jealousy yet. He wants to touch and kiss Aila a lot but he still needs to learn to be gentle. This morning Logan asked Vanessa to read a book to him and Aila. Check it out:

Home from the Hospital

We got home from the hospital yesteray. Our first visitors at home were the Mistereks. They even brought us some dinner- Thanks you guys! You rock! Here are some pics:

Baby Aila is Here!

On Friday after Vanessa's doctor's appointment we all went out for pizza. Then we went to Doug's parents house to swim. The swimming was cut short when Vanessa started having contractions. She called the doctor and they said to go into the hospital to get checked. We thought for sure that this would be a false alarm, but it turned out to be the real deal!

AILA LYNNE SHEPPARD arrived on August 16th at 11:45 a.m.! She weighed 6 lbs. 13 oz. and was 19.5 inches long! Here are the pics:
