On Saturday we went white trash shopping (where we go to rich neighborhoods before their bulk trash day and pick up stuff.... hey you would be surprised what rich people call trash!. We didn't find much bulk trash, but Doug did pick up an air compressor so it wasn't a complete bust. We worked up quite an appetite and went to eat lunch at Prima Pizza (yummy NY pizza).
On Friday we went to Vanessa's mom's house and hung out. Logan and Ethan are starting to play more and more together. It is really fun to watch these two crazy boys! There is definitely a difference between boys and girls!
Our good friends Matt and Stephanie have moved to Oregon : ( We will miss them greatly, but we are glad to have gotten to know them and know that they will enjoy being close to their family again. Here are some pics of our last night together:
On Saturday, we drove to Sedona for a wedding. Nana watched Logan so that we would not have to worry about him running around and getting into trouble. (Thanks Nana)The ride up was actually quite peaceful (Aila slept the whole time) Doug officiated the ceremony and it was a beautiful wedding! The couple rented a gorgeous mansion in the foothills of the Sedona red rock mountains. The bride and groom looked amazing and we are so happy for them! Congrats Tim and Liz! We got to stay in a hotel after the wedding and it was so great. It had an indoor pool and the mountains were right outside our patio! Check out all of our pics:

The bed was so comfy! Aila actually slept through the night!!!:
Our double stroller has arrived! Now we can take longer walks! It can be a double stroller or a sit and stand stroller and it came with an attachment so I can hook Aila's carseat in. It is nice and light and it folds up really small.
We got back to Arizona on Thursday. We almost missed our plane and we actually had to run through the airport but we made it! The flight went well until the last 30 minutes when both kids decided they had had enough! We had so much fun in Louisiana that we are sad that our visit is over. Here are some more of the fun from our trip:
Day 5: Wednesday- This morning Doug had more meetings with some more people from the Southern Baptist Association and they all seemed to go well. While he was at the meeting Vanessa began to pack and when Granny got back we took Logan and Aila out for a walk. When Doug and Papa got home from their meetings we all got in the car and decided to go out. Granny and Papa showed us the town and some of the nice houses in the area. Afterward we went to a lake to feed some fish and some turtles, but it turns out that they only come out at a certain time of day so there was nothing to feed. It was ok though because Logan just liked throwing the bread in the water and didn't care that no one was eating it. Doug caught a little lizzard by the lake and it jumped from Doug's hand right onto Logan's shirt. It was really cute! Then we got back in the car and stopped at Walmart to pick up a few things and then we went to visit Granny and Papa's friend Patty's house. Patty had a little bike out for Logan to play with (which he loved) and he got to play with her dog and feed her fish in her little pond. After visiting with Patty we took a trip to the Baptist encampment (a beautiful church camp with lots of big trees and a huge lake). Logan ran all around and we collected some leaves and pine cones. The sites were so breathtaking. Living in the dessert, we have forgotten the beautiful colors of fall leaves on the trees! We started to get hungry so we went to dinner at a restaurant called Robby G's. We met Patty and Dave there and ate and hung out. Logan loved all the spicy foods and so did everyone else (except for Vanessa the world's pickiest eater! lol) Then it was time to come home and finish packing and go to bed. Another great day! We are so not ready to say goodbye tomorrow, but we are also looking forward to gettin home to Arizona and seeing everyone we have missed there!
Day 4: Tuesday- Today we went up to Wayne's office in the Southern Baptist headquarters. We got to see where he worked and meet some of his coworkers. Wayne and Doug went to lunch with some associates and Doug had somewhat of an informal interview. Paula and Vanessa tried to take the kids to Burger King to play but the playgroung was closed so we went home and put them down for a nap instead. After Doug got back home we took the kids to the Alexandria Zoo. We did not expect much from the zoo but it turned out to be the best zoo we have ever been to! They had so many animals and they were right next to you! There was a parrot that waved and said "hi", snakes in the ceiling of the reptile exhibit (almost gave us a heart attack), a cougar that came right up to the glass and some mountain lions were fighting right above us. It was truly amazing! Logan loved feeding the fish in the coy pond. You would not believe how many fish there were! After the zoo, we met Wayne for dinner at an Italian restaurant and the food was sooooo yummy! What an awesome time we had today!
Logan loved riding in this car at the zoo: Doug and Aila posed in the pictures (there were lots of them, here are my two favorites) Look how close the animals were: We couldn't get over the beautiful canopy of trees: Aila taking in the sights: Logan playing at the playground: Family pics: Logan feeding the fish:
