On Friday, Vanessa met Amber and the kids at the zoo. The day started out gorgeous, but it definitely got hot. The kids had a blast. They loved the monkey village, the petting zoo and their favorite was the splash pad:

This week we have been staying at Vanessa's parents house. Vanessa's mom is out of town and her dad was lonely and needed some help. Aunt Mary came over to visit and she was a huge help. Aila was very fussy because of her shots. Aunt Mary held her for a long time and walked all around the house with her (Aila cried whenever she tried to sit down)
Aila is 2 months old today!!! She had a doctors appointment and had to get some shots : ( She was not happy and she gave the doctor her sad face (where she sticks out her bottom lip). The good news is that she is very healthy. She weighs 11 lbs. 5 oz. and is 21 inches long and she is still in the 50th percentile!
After the kids were all dressed we went to visit the O'Neals. Logan loves their dogs and Vanessa wanted to see how Joely was doing (her due date is just around the corner!). Jason got to hold Aila and he helped Logan climb a ladder. He is definitely getting some good "daddy practice":
Last weekend we cleaned out our garage. It was a disaster! We didn't even know we had so much stuff! We even found some things that we had been looking for forever! Our church gave us some shelves they were getting rid of and it made such a big difference. Vanessa is such a dork (if u didn't already think so from her constant blogging about nothing in the third person) because she gets excited about organization and she even took pictures:
This week we have been homebodies. Vanessa has not been feeling well so she and the kids have been hanging around at the house. Vanessa decided to see how Aila would do in the bumbo chair. Aila loves sitting up, even when you hold her she wants to be held up. Logan was jealous that Aila was sitting in his old chair so Vanessa had to convince him that it was a "baby" chair and he has a "big boy" chair. Check out the pics:
Sunday's weather was so great and some friends invited us to a BBQ at a park. This wasn't your regular hot dog and hamburger dinner, it was a gourmet feast of steak, chicken, and fish! WOW! Logan loved playing on the playground with his little friends. Please disregard the graffitti on the slide. It is so sad that people feel the need to vandalize!
On Saturday we went to a festival in Coolidge. Some of our friends were in a dance show and we wanted to go and watch. They gave a great performance! While we were there,Logan went on a ride by himself for the first time. When the ride started he had this funny look on his face of fear mixed with enjoyment and he sat stone still. It was cute!
Aila just keeps getting bigger and bigger! She has outgrown her newborn clothes and is in size 0-3 months! She has started smiling and she already rolled over from her tummy to her back a few times. Logan saw how excited Vanessa was when she rolled over that he tries to push her over now to get a reaction. What a good big brother trying to help his sister! Logan definitely loves Aila but we are pretty sure that jealousy has set in. Maybe it has finally hit him that she is here to stay. He keeps asking to be picked up when we hold her and he asks for a drink whenever Vanessa nurses her. He even gave her a good whack last week but when she started to cry he felt bad and started kissing her. We are definitely keeping an eye on him!
On Friday, Doug and Vanessa went on a date! It has been a long time since they have gone anywhere without Logan and Aila. It was the first time to leave Aila, but Nana watched her and did a great job! Thanks Nana. They went to see the movie "Fireproof" with Darren and Amber. It was awesome!
Yesterday we took Aila to the pool. She looked adorable in her swim suit that Granny got for her. We put her legs in the water but she was not thrilled so she sat with daddy and watched mommy and Logan swim.
