Trunk or Treating

We went to a fall festival at a church that had trunk or treating.  For my east coast friends this means that kids go from car to car in a parking lot trick or treating for candy.  The people even decorate their trunks with some sort of theme.

Look they are wearing different costumes again.  LOL

Logan and Aila got to spar gladiator style.

My kids love mini golf!

Daddy's lil princess:

They got LOTS of candy!

Chic Fil A Costume Party

We love Chic Fil A! Especially when it is free! They had a Halloween event and if the kids came dressed in costume they got a free meal!  Yes they are all in different costumes from the last time.  They will probably be in something different for every Halloween event we go to because they love to play dress up and so they are never just one thing for Halloween.  LOL

Aila made this cute cow mask:

Ariah had her first milk shake and loved it!

Scare Crow Festival

We went to a really fun free event called The Scare Crow Festival.  They had bouncers, games, a little train ride and lots of scarecrows.  We will definitely try to do this again next year!

Pumpkin Carving

The kids really wanted to carve a pumpkin.  We usually just paint little pumpkins because it is easier but this year we did it!

They loved feeling the squishy guts:

Logan wanted the pumpkin to have this face:

It came out great!

Adoption Update

We are busy, busy, busy getting all of our documents ready to have our homestudy.  Doug still has some of the class left to finish, we are waiting on a letter from his work, we need to take the pets in to the vet and make sure they are up to date on their shots and the kids and I need to have physicals.  We hope to have everything done and ready to go by the end of this month.  Please pray that we are able to complete everything as we would really like to move on to the next step in our adoption process!

Fall Decorating

One of my favorite parts of our new house is the porch! I have always dreamed of having a porch! I had a lot of fun decorating it for fall!

Push Dance Theater

I took the kids to the Miller Outdoor Theater to see Push Dance Company.  We got to meet friends there as well, which made this little field trip even better! The show was fantastic and afterward we had a picnic with our friends and we rode the little train they have right by the theater.

Kindermusik Class

I took the kids to a free Kindermusik class this week.  Ariah thought it was the best thing ever.  She loves dancing and music right now.  All the kids loved playing with the maracas and scarves.  Their favorite part was the free lollipops and frozen yogurt!

Ariah is 17 months old!

Look how big she is getting!  She can go down the slide all by herself now, is starting to talk and use sign language more, and this week she has started sleeping in a toddler bed.  Time is just flying by! I remember bringing her home from the hospital and now we are getting ready for potty training! What a big girl!

Home Depot Workshop

Doug took Logan on a father son date to Home Depot for a kid workshop.  He got to make a fire airplane and he did an awesome job! He definitely takes after his daddy when it comes to building and fixing things!

Zoo Day

I LOVE that the Houston Zoo is free the first Tuesday of the month.  Here are the pics from our October visit:
